How every comparison is built
We use the same method on every page, so you can trust the numbers side by side.
Entry plan against entry plan
We compare what most people buy: the cheapest plan a host will sell you for a normal website, on a 12-month term. If a host has no equivalent tier, the card says which plan we used instead.
Included, not added on
We compare what comes in the plan itself: backups, SSL, migration, staging and support. A low starting price is only part of the cost if the essentials are sold separately.
Add-ons counted as cost
Backups, SSL, malware removal, staging, email and CDN cost extra at some hosts and are included at others. Each page lists them clearly instead of leaving a blank cell for you to guess at.
Their own published pricing
Every figure comes from the host's own public pages, with the check date on the card. If a figure is stale or wrong, tell support and we'll fix it, even when the correction favours the competitor.
Is your host not listed?
Tell us who it is and we'll build the comparison. If you'd rather not wait, send us your current invoice. A support engineer will work out the two-year maths for your exact plan and send it back to you.
- No sales call. You get the numbers by email
- We'll tell you plainly if you're better off staying put
- Free test migration to a temporary URL either way

How often are the figures rechecked?
Every quarter, and straight away when a host announces a price change. Each card shows the check date, so you can see how fresh a page is before you trust it.
