Can I still transfer my domain if it has expired?

Yes in most cases, expired domains can still be transferred, provided they are within the grace period. ICANN, the organization responsible for domain name regulations, permits domain transfers during this period. However, the length of the grace period varies depending on the domain extension (e.g., .com, .net, .org), so it’s advisable to verify the specific timeframe with your current registrar.

Once a domain name moves beyond the grace period, it typically enters what is known as the Redemption Grace Period. During this phase, domain transfers are no longer permitted. You would need to restore the domain with your current registrar, which may incur an additional fee, before any transfer can take place.

Can I register just a domain name without hosting?

Absolutely. You are welcome to purchase a domain name without a hosting package. Domain registration is offered as a standalone service and can be managed entirely through your client area.

Do you include domain privacy protection?

Yes. All domain registrations include free WHOIS privacy protection, which is automatically enabled upon order. This service helps protect your personal information from being publicly visible in the domain WHOIS database. If you prefer not to use domain privacy, you can disable it at any time through the client portal.

Can I transfer a domain from another provider to you?

Yes, you can transfer your domain to us at any time, provided it is not within a 60-day lock period after a recent registration or transfer. To begin the process, ensure that:

1) The domain is unlocked with your current registrar
2) You have access to the domain’s authorization (EPP) code
3) The domain’s contact information is up to date

Once submitted, domain transfers typically complete within 5–7 days.

Will my domain stay active during the transfer?

Yes. As long as the domain has not expired or entered redemption, it will remain active throughout the transfer process. There should be no disruption to any services associated with the domain, such as email or website functionality.

As part of the domain transfer process, your domain will be renewed for an additional year.
